Rules for a stammtisch…
Savannah Brewers League will have multiple brewers brewing beer/cider/mead at Coastal Empire Beer Company. This event will help show the public what goes into their beer by getting them involved in the process. All experience levels (non-brewer to Professional) are welcome to attend. From grain to glass come see some brewing magic by our home brewers and Coastal Empires brewers as we collaborate on this AHA nation wide event.
For club members brewing that day: We will set up from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon. Coasta Empire opens for business at noon and they usually start getting people by 1:00 pm so we don’t have to rush as we want to demonstrate the entire process.
Coastal Empire is providing tables, electricity, water, and spent grain collection. Some of us will brew inside, some outside so prepare for that too. Flame on around noon that day.
A food truck is in the works and still pending.
Please try to come out to support the club, Coastal Empire for being a gracious host, and let your friends know too!
On the first Saturday in November, thousands of people will gather at Learn to Homebrew Day sites worldwide to brew beer and and learn about the hobby of homebrewing. In 1999, Learn To Homebrew Day was established by the American Homebrewers Association to promote the most rewarding, and delicious activity of all time — homebrewing.
The Tripka’s will be holding a stammtisch at their meadery in Bluffton, SC. Please bring food and homebrew to share.
Bee-Town is offering a mead must package for sale just in time for Domras Cup:
- $30 mead must that will produce a 5 gallon batch of standard mead. Package to include everything you need to get started, just bring a container.
This is our regular monthly meeting where we welcome any and all who are interested in homebrewing to come talk and or answer your brewing questions. From non-brewer to pro, come sit down with some locals enjoy a pint of your favorite beverage and talk about brewing.
***Due to GA law, please do not bring homebrew to this event. SBL wishes to respect our host, Moon River Brewing Company, and not jeopardize their liquor license. Homebrew is welcomed at other SBL private events***
2018 info, 2019 info TBD
